Learn how a local government agency consolidated fire alarm monitoring across 80+ public facilities with Everon's UL Certified monitoring centers, centralized oversight, and compliant life safety solutions.
Background
A large local government agency overseeing more than 80 public facilities, including administrative offices, community centers, public safety buildings, and operational sites, sought a reliable partner to support its fire alarm monitoring needs. The agency’s unique life safety requirements, combined with its desire to consolidate oversight from multiple service providers into a single monitoring partner, led it to initiate an RFP process in pursuit of a more cost‑effective solution for its fire and life safety systems.
As part of the competitive bidding process and to remain compliant with the local government’s ordinances, the agency required UL Certification for all monitoring centers when considering prospective providers. Access to Everon’s two UL Certified monitoring centers and competitive pricing delivered the redundancy, reliability, and cost efficiency the agency required to protect its critical fire and life safety systems.
After Everon was awarded the contract, our leadership team met with the customer to engage in detailed discussions around delivering certified monitoring services through both national and local teams equipped to meet their specific requirements.
Solution
Everon proposed a streamlined monitoring solution to support the customer’s fire alarm and intrusion systems across more than 100 accounts. Everon’s national presence and certified monitoring facilities met the local government’s regulations and standards to provide compliant and reliable coverage.
Everon provided the following solutions and services to the customer:
Fire alarm monitoring for standard smoke detection systems to protect the health and safety of occupants and facilities.
Comprehensive centralized oversight of the customer’s facilities to ensure that critical alarms will receive a response – even during inclement weather and other major emergencies.
Local support from Everon’s regional team, offering responsive communication and continuity of service.
These solutions enabled the agency to consolidate fire alarm and detection monitoring while ensuring alerts were handled by trained, certified safety specialists who would promptly notify the customer and dispatch first responders in the event of an emergency.
Results
The bidding process awarded Everon a three-year contract with the option to extend for an additional two years. By transitioning to a UL Certified monitoring provider, the customer remained in critical compliance with governmental regulations and gained consistent, unified monitoring experience across all its facilities.
